Meet Our Staff

Owner:

Sue Anderson
Sue Anderson bought the studio back in 2007 and has hit the ground running! Working as a software engineer by day at ARINC in Annapolis, Mama Sue runs the studio on nights and weekends. She strives to keep a comfortable atmosphere and provide quality dance instruction to our area's dancers. Alongside her, you will often see Mama Sue's assistant and daughter, Steph. Sue is very excited and determined to help ADF live up to its true potential!

Manager:

Miranda Ford
With an Associate of Arts degree in General Studies from Anne Arundel Community College and a Bachelors of Science degree in Sociology from Bowie State University, Miranda is currently employed with University Physicians, Inc. at the University of Maryland Hospital Pediatrics Department. Miranda has over 15 years of dance experience, having started at the age of 3. She has participated in numerous master classes sponsored by Dance Educators of America, the Maryland Dance Council, Starpower, and Horton's Dance Conference. As a dance student, Miranda had competed in dance competitions for six years, usually in the categories of jazz, tap, and lyrical, tap being her favorite. She has danced with Kathleen's Dance Studio and American Dance and Fitness, and has won many metals, ribbons, and trophies while competing. The award she is most proud of was for her tap solo. She competed at Starpower Nationals in Ocean city and earned the award for Miss Personality (who would've thought).

Assistant Manager:

Steph Anderson
Steph had been a student here at ADF for over a decade and had been a teacher assistant during the later years. She now helps her mother, Sue, as the assistant manager and teaches tap. She cuts and mixes music for the recital, maintains the website, works in the office at night and over the weekends and summer, and helps with recitals and events. A college freshman, Steph has been in a few shows outside the studio including marching band and drama productions at her high school and is usually caught on stage dancing, like in The Wizard of Oz where she was featured as a tap-dancing Jitterbug soloist and in a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater where she taught and performed the actual Thriller dance as Michael Jackson. Although she loves all kinds of dance, her favorites are hip-hop and tap.
